The purpose of assessment is to ensure that learning goals set by the school have been met. It is our goal that all students can perform at their optimum level in the grade they are in, can move comfortably from one grade to the next, absorb the knowledge relevant to their grade, and can apply the said knowledge in future situations.
Class I – V
- Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is done for each student. Students are assessed in Scholastic areas through paper-pen tests, assignments, projects and other activities throughout the academic session. Students are also assessed in Co-Scholastic areas as an on-going process.
- The academic session has three terms. Each term has two cycles of weekly tests. Tests are held on every Friday of the week. The syllabus of each test is given to the student one week before the test.
- Grades are awarded for the weekly test, projects, group activities etc.
- Children should not be sent to school on the test day if they are sick. They will be given grades based on their performance in the previous tests, if they miss the test on account of sickness.
Class VI – VIII
The assessment of students will be based on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation that will be carried out throughout the year which includes Scholastic and Co-Scholastic Areas.
- The academic session will be divided into two Terms. The First Term will be from April- September and the Second term from October to March of the subsequent year.
- Each Term will have Two Formative and One Summative Assessment.
- The students will also be assessed for Co-Scholastic Areas once in a Session.
- Assessment will be indicated in Grades.
- The Grading scale for the Scholastic areas is Nine point scale and for Co-Scholastic areas is Five point scale.
- It is mandatory to appear in all Summative assessment during the Academic year.
- The weightage will be as follows:
First Term : FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (30%) = 50%
Second Term : FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) + SA2 (30%) = 50% - Students must obtain the qualifying grade (minimum grade D) in all the subjects under Scholastic and Co-Scholastic Areas.

Those candidates who have obtained Grade E1 or E2 in the subjects under Scholastic Areas shall have to improve their performance to qualify the subject(s).
- Students excelling in Co-Scholastic Areas will be given benefit by upscaling of Grades in Scholastic area. No upscaling is done if the grade obtained in the subject is E2 or A1.

Class XI & XII
- The students of classes XI and XII will be assessed regularly through weekly tests, revision tests, Half-yearly, Pre-Board (Only for class XII) and Annual Examination.
- A student of class XI will be promoted as per the CBSE rules available on the CBSE website.
- It is mandatory for the students of classes XI and XII to pass separately in theory and Practical examinations as per CBSE rule.
