 The Annual Prize distribution ceremony for class I and II was held on 20th December, 2016. The function began with the ‘Saraswati vandana’ and lighting of the lamp for an auspicious beginning. The honourable Director and head of all New Era institutions, Mrs Usha Chopra spoke to the elite gathering and emphasized that it was important to spend quality time with one’s children.
The Prize distribution followed and proud children walked up to receive certificates and prizes from the Director and the Principal for academic excellence and full attendance.

The choir of class I and II with ‘Udhte hain udhte hain’ set the mood for a flight for freedom. The melodious song mesmerized the audience as small hands clapped and small feet tapped to the rhythm of the song.

 The Principal, Mrs Vandana Chawla addressed the gathering, stressing on parents contribution towards the holistic and all round development of the children. Her words set the stage for the play “Born free”- a curtain raiser to showcase the importance of freedom in a living beings life. The programme brought to light the fact that everyone has a right to freedom and should be given a chance to spread out their wings and fly. It gave glimpses of the Indian Freedom struggle and Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to India’s independence. The play ended on the note that the battle was not yet over. The torch lit by Mahatma Gandhi is being carried forward by people in different parts of the world like Malala Yousafzai, Nelson Mandela, His holiness the Dalai Lama to name a few.

The audience applauded the efforts of the students.

    The NEPS family came together to bid adieu to class XII and wish them well for their future endeavours.
    The farewell, organised by class XI, proved to be an exciting and overwhelming day for class XII. The function began with a ‘havan’, held in the school auditorium to invoke divine blessings for the outgoing batch. This was followed by a musical skit encapsulating their enriching journey in the school. A group of musicians from class XI mesmerized the audience with their performance.

    The outgoing Head Boy Deepanshu and Head Girl Kriti relived their memories in school and thanked the teachers one last time in official capacity. Sidhak and Utkarsh of XII A entertained everyone for one last time with their dance performance. The computer department captured the journey of the outgoing batch through a video and a power point presentation which touched the students.

    Students of class XII danced to their heart’s delight after the cultural programme and reminisced about their time in school fondly. They thanked class XI for organising a wonderful farewell for them.

    The Director, Mrs Chopra blessed the students and encouraged them to work hard in life. The Principal, Mrs Chawla also wished them  for their future.
