The early September mornings were filled with music and dance. On 7th September, Mrs. Rama Vaidyanathan graced the stage of Saraswati Auditorium. Talking about the nuances of the beautiful dance of Tamil Nadu, she presented many scenes from Hindu mythology encouraging students of classes VI and VIII to ask questions, follow mudras and even try out some with her on stage.
8th September saw a lively group of classes X and XI enjoying the folk music of Rajasthan with Rahmat Khan Langa and his musicians. Constant interaction between the artistes and the students made the morning quite interesting and meaningful.
On 8th and 9th February, SPIC MACAY was back in New Era once again to enthrall the young minds. Ms. Uma Sharma, the renowned Kathak exponent charmed the students with her grace and talent. Her description of the journey of Kathak from courts to stage was interesting and the intricacies of the dance form captivated the students throughout.
