(‘Happy Founder’s Day’ – Saying With Flowers)
The 52nd Founder’s Day was celebrated on 11th and 13th, April 2011.
11th April was a day of celebrations for the students. A special assembly was held to make the day memorable. The Director, Mrs. Chopra was welcomed with bouquets from students and the Student Council.
Addressing the students, she spoke about the role of the youth in the shaping of a nation’s destiny. A short cultural programme entertained everyone. The programme included a tabla and a dance performance besides a group song by the School Choir. The Principal, Mrs. Chawla, addressed the students briefly, emphasizing the need to be confident and focused at improving day after day.
Later in the day, students enjoyed participating in various competitions like Face Painting, Rangoli Making and Poster Making. Senior classes played limited overs’ cricket matches.
On 13th April, a havan was held to invoke the divine blessings. Following these, all the staff and teachers proceeded to The Indian Habitat Centre for fun and games and lunch.
