The Annual Day (Class V)

The Annual Prize distribution of Class V was held on 28th September, 2018. The programme began with lamp lighting ceremony by our Director and founder Principal, Mrs Usha Chopra. This was followed by a presentation, showcasing the various activities and special assemblies conducted in the school.  The Director then addressed the gathering, urging parents to support their children in all their endeavours.Mrs Usha Chopra and Mr Rohit Chopra gave away the prizes and certificates for Academic excellence and full attendance. It was a proud moment for the parents.

The prize distribution was followed by the choir. They sang a melodious song- “Hume likhna hai, padhna hai, aage hi badhna hai...., which emphasised the importance of education for young children.

A message from the Principal, Mrs Vandana Chawla was read out by the Headmistress of the senior wing.

The much awaited play was based on the theme- Indomitable spirit- the story of  Malala Yousafzai. The dance drama portrayed the hardships faced by Malala Yousafzai and her zeal to study and help others. Excerpts from the life of the Nobel Laureate were depicted through enactments and dances. The play also included a poetry recital by the students- Kalam ki taaqat. The parents appreciated the efforts of the students. The event concluded with the customary vote of thanks.

    The Annual Day (Class IV)

    The Annual Prize distribution of Class IV was held on 27th September, 2018. The programme began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by our Director and founder Principal, Mrs Usha Chopra. This was followed by a PowerPoint presentation, showcasing the day to day activities and special assemblies conducted in the school.  The Director addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of instilling the right values in the children. The prizes and certificates for Academic excellence and full attendance were then given away by Mrs Usha Chopra and Mr Rohit Chopra, amidst the applause of parents.

    The prize distribution was followed by the choir. They sang an inspiring song- “Aasman ke paar shaayad aur koi aasman hoga...., which had the audience swaying with the music.

    A message from the Principal, Mrs Vandana Chawla was read out by the Headmistress of the senior wing.

    The students then presented Agnipath-the famous poem of Dr Harivansh Rai Bacchhan. The students recited the poem with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

    The play which followed was based on the theme- Indomitable spirit- the story of Helen Keller. The play depicted how Helen Keller’s teacher, Anne Sullivan, broke through the isolation imposed by complete lack of language, teaching the girl how to communicate with the outside world. All the characters were brought to life by the amazing actors of class IV. Helen Keller was blind, deaf and dumb yet that didn’t stop her from achieving her dreams. It was her indomitable spirit that did not stop her from achieving what she wanted. In the words of Helen Keller- The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.

    A poem- Koshish karne waalon ki kabhi haar nahi hoti, reiterated the importance of perseverance in achieving our goals.

    The function concluded with the vote of thanks.

      Special Assembly for the Director’s birthday

      17th September is a very special day for every person associated with the New Era family as it is the birthday of the founder Principal and Director, Mrs Usha Chopra. Like every year Maám’s birthday was celebrated with great enthusiasm, zest and exuberance. The celebrations started with the primary children reciting heartfelt poems for Maám. The choir group from both Primary and Senior wing sang melodious songs.

      The celebration culminated with a power packed and electrifying performances of the budding dancers of the Primary wing. The Principal, Ms Vandana Chawla was also present on the occasion. Chopra Maám, thanked everyone for their good wishes.

        Teachers Day Special Assembly

        A special assembly was conducted for Teachers day on 5th September, 2018. The students spoke about the importance of teachers and their role in shaping the future of students. They elaborated on the qualities of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, which made him a great teacher. A song, wishing the teachers a happy teachers day was also presented. The programme ended with a dance depicting the respect that teachers have in the Indian society. The Director, Mrs Usha Chopra addressed the students and urged them to be obedient and respectful to the teachers.
