New Era Public School, Mayapuri organised its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on 30th November 2022. It was an opportunity for the students, staff and parents to come together to acknowledge and applaud the achievements of meritorious students who proved themselves in fields like academics, sports, music and public speaking. The Founder Principal and Director of New Era Public School Mrs. Usha Chopra, the Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla, the Director of New Era Public School Dwarka Mr. Rohit Chopra and the Principal of New Era Public School Dwarka Mrs. Kanwal Kohli graced the event with their presence.
The event began with the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony by the guests. The orchestra with over 50 budding musicians stirred patriotic fervour with their presentation of 'Raag Desh' using instruments such as Drums, Guitar, Xylophone, Flute etc. The Choir comprising over 100 melodious singers serenaded the audience with their rendition of "Aao Hum Sab Haath Milaaye."
The Prize Distribution Ceremony commenced thereafter. Prizes were awarded to students for excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. In addition to this, Chetna House bagged the award for the Best House this year.
The highlight of the event was the Annual Production. The theme of this year's play was "75 years:The Indian Dream". The play, inspired from real life, presented true stories of fraternity, liberty of thought, equality and justice, the guiding principles of our Preamble. More than 500 students participated in this colossal effort, which was acknowledged and applauded by everyone in the audience.
The Founder Principal and Director of New Era Public School Mrs. Usha Chopra encouraged students to give their best. She urged parents to prioritise their health and support their wards in all their endeavours. In their addresses to the gathering, the Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla and the Director of New Era Public School Dwarka Mr. Rohit Chopra congratulated the team behind the Annual Production and inspired the students to face challenges with grit and determination. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
