PATHFINDER 'Take an Informed Decision'

New Era Public School, Mayapuri organized a career fair, Pathfinder – ‘Take an Informed Decision’ on the 14th October, 2023. The fair aimed to provide students from grades VIII to XII with insights into a diverse range of career options, helping them make informed decisions for their future. Over 450 students, accompanied by their parents, actively participated in the event. The fair saw the involvement of seventeen prominent universities, both from India and abroad, who set up stalls and offered guidance on scholarships, financial aid, and available courses. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by our Founder Principal and Director Mrs. Usha Chopra, and Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla marking the beginning of the informative and engaging career fair. A key feature of the fair was the series of informative sessions conducted by young professionals. These sessions covered a wide array of unconventional career paths, including insights from a career counsellor, Mr. Nakul Sherwal, on deciphering CUET, and Ms. Deepali Batra, a Senior Consultant at MAX Health Care and Director at PALS, sharing her journey in psychology as an emerging career choice. Furthermore, NEPS alumni, Ms. Mitali Lambah and Mr. Chimay Jaisinghani, shed light on Digital Marketing and opportunities in offbeat professions alongwith traditional career opportunities in commerce like CA, CS etc.. Notably, there were discussions on various topics, such as Design Thinking and Innovation, Graphic Designing and Gaming, Aerospace Engineering, and more, delivered by professionals from the participating universities. The event received an overwhelming response and was hailed as a significant success, owing to the enthusiastic participation of students from various grades. Attendees praised the fair for its comprehensive and insightful sessions, which provided invaluable guidance on diverse career paths. The positive feedback highlighted the event's effectiveness in broadening students' horizons and empowering them to make well-informed decisions about their future endeavours. Moreover, the active involvement of renowned universities and industry professionals contributed to the event's resounding triumph, as it facilitated a deeper understanding of the multitude of career opportunities available to the students.
