The Annual Tech Fest - SYNC 10.0

New Era Public School organized 10th edition of the Annual Inter-School Tech Fest SYNC on 20th October 2023. SYNC was first organised in 2012 under the guidance and blessings of Mrs. Usha Chopra, the Founder Principal and Director of New Era Public School, Mayapuri. In a timespan of 10 years, SYNC has provided a platform to a group of talented enthusiasts to express their technical and intellectual skills. The Founder Principal and Director Mrs. Usha Chopra and the Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla graced the event and motivated the students to do their best. Taking forward the legacy this year, the event “Multimedia Presentation” focused on the topic –

'Is women empowerment
still the need of the hour?’

SYNC 2023 saw the participation of schools from all over Delhi and more than 150 participants from class IV onwards. The other events included CINEMASTERY,LET‟S ANIMATE, BATTLE FUSION, LOGICAL MINDS , COMIC STRIP and CAPTURES. The participants were not only able to express their imagination and creativity in Canva software but also showcased their skills in the Scratch Event.

Each event was judged by a panel of esteemed judges, who were experts in their respective domains like content creation, programming, anchoring and technology.

CINEMASTERY was for classes IX-XII. This event encouraged students to express their views through a well defined script and its transformation into a movie in a span of 8 minutes. This event was judged by a panel of three judges from different fields. The judges were Ms Grishma Goyal(IES Officer) , Mr Mukul Verma (Director,Writer ,Cinematographer ),Mr Hriday Manjeet Singh (Actor), Mr Devvrat Arya (Photographer).

Let’s Animate was for classes IV and V. One team consisting of two students participated from each school. Each team had to use the software 'Scratch ' and were asked to make a story line using animation. The event was judged by Mr Himanshu Goyal ,

In Comic Strip , the students of classes VI to VIII exhibited their talent and creativity by designing a comic strip on using Canva.

Logical Minds was an event based on Python Programming. It was meant for classes IX to XII. Participants were provided questions of varying complexity on hackerrank. Questions were uploaded and the students solved them online. The event was judged on the basis of number of questions solved in minimum time and the quality of code framed.

The Battle Fusion was a gaming event , open to students of classes IX to XII, wherein all the young gaming enthusiasts from each school participated in three gaming rounds to beat their opponents in the game of chess.

The Captures was a photography event, open to students of classes VI-X , wherein partcipants were asked to click photographs on the following topics.
VI-VIII-„Sports‟ or „Friendship‟
IX- XII- „Conceptual photography‟ or „gray scale charm‟
This event was judged by professional photographer Mr. Devvrat Arya

The teamwork and sportsmanship of all the participants was exhibited well. All the winners were felicitated on their respective venues.
