The 14th R.L. Chopra Memorial Table Tennis Tournament (4th–8th August 2025)

The R.L. Chopra Memorial Table Tennis Tournament, a much-anticipated annual sporting event, was successfully hosted by New Era Public School, Mayapuri, from 4th to 8th August 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and outstanding sportsmanship from 28 reputed schools, with 89 teams comprising 356 students in total. The tournament was inaugurated on 4th August 2025 in a grand opening ceremony graced by our esteemed Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra, Director of Innovations, Mrs. Vandana Chawla, and Principal, Mrs. Neerja Bhaskar Anand. Their inspiring words encouraged the participants to give their best and uphold the spirit of fair play. Throughout the five-day tournament, matches were conducted under the supervision of 13 officials from the Table Tennis Federation, ensuring that all games adhered to professional standards and rules. Several prestigious schools dominated the tournament with their exceptional performances. Notable among them were:  Bhatnagar International, Paschim Vihar  Manavsthali School, Rajendra Nagar  Mount Carmel School, Dwarka  Heritage School  G.D. Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj  Springdales School, Pusa Road  Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram  New Era Public School, Mayapuri New Era Public School’s players made the school proud by securing 3rd position in both the Under-11 and Under-15 girls’ categories. Additionally, one of our talented players was honoured with the title of “Most Promising Player” of the tournament, a testament to the school’s growing excellence in the sport. The prize distribution ceremony, held on 8th August 2025, marked the culmination of the tournament. Trophies, prizes, and certificates were awarded to the winners, runners-up, and outstanding performers in a ceremony filled with applause and celebration. The R.L. Chopra Memorial Table Tennis Tournament once again proved to be a great platform for young talent to shine, and New Era Public School was proud to host such a vibrant and competitive event that celebrated sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
