New Era Public School successfully organised an enriching Capacity Building Session on Computational Thinking on 30th June 2026 at the Senior Auditorium. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Simran Maggo, Teacher Trainer at LogIQids, and brought together educators from New Era Public School, Mayapuri; New Era Public School, Dwarka; and NE Saplings. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Usha Chopra, Founder Director; Mrs. Chawla, Director – Innovations; Mr. Rohit Chopra, Director; and Mrs. Neerja Bhasker Anand, Officiating Principal, whose encouragement highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering innovative teaching practices and future-ready education. The interactive session introduced teachers to the core pillars of Computational Thinking—decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking—while emphasising that Computational Thinking is not merely a technological concept but a vital life skill that empowers students to analyse, reason, and solve problems systematically. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and real classroom examples, participants explored effective strategies to integrate Computational Thinking across subjects. The workshop focused on adopting a “thinking-first” approach, encouraging educators to nurture students’ reasoning processes rather than concentrating solely on correct answers. Teachers also gained insights into designing meaningful classroom activities, using Computational Thinking resources effectively, and adopting observation-based assessment practices to better understand students’ learning journeys. The session proved to be highly interactive and thought-provoking, equipping educators with practical tools to create engaging, inquiry-driven classrooms that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to embed Computational Thinking into everyday teaching practices, reinforcing New Era’s vision of preparing students to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven world.
