New Era Public School organised a special Independence Day Assembly on 17 August 2026 to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and commemorate India’s Independence Day. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, followed by a warm welcome to the esteemed dignitaries. The flag-hoisting ceremony was conducted by Mrs. Usha Chopra, Mrs. Vandana Chawla and Mrs. Neerja Bhaskar Anand, who unfurled the National Flag amidst an atmosphere of pride and patriotism. The cultural programme began with an inspiring English speech, followed by a melodious orchestra performance. The Junior Wing presented a beautiful English poem, while the Senior Wing Choir enthralled the audience with a patriotic rendition. This was followed by a meaningful Hindi poem by the Senior Wing and a melodious performance by the Junior Wing Choir. The assembly was then addressed by Mrs. Usha Chopra, whose inspiring words highlighted the values of freedom, unity and responsible citizenship. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by the Senior Wing, which beautifully reflected the spirit of patriotism. Mrs. Vandana Chawla then addressed the gathering, followed by an insightful and motivating speech by Mrs. Neerja Bhaskar Anand. Their words inspired the students to uphold the values of the nation and become responsible citizens. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, staff and students for their valuable contribution towards making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
